Very helpful, wish the platform came with a little postcard with basic instructions on it.
Thank you for your comment! Where did you purchase the Platform Pro?
Nice scaffolding demo
I'm 50 years old was on the fire department for 26 years and a major inner city, and this video was very inspiringreat.Great job, young man.Keep it going
This video should had been 2 hours longer lol. Very enjoyable sir. Appreciate the content
Bro, what! I thought i already had the tallest one! Where can i get this?
on our website!! The tallest Skyscraper has a standing level of about 18 feet, which is what you'd need to reach a 24 foot ceiling.
Love this ladder. Just got one.
Holy shit, you move that thing like it's made of paper! I just got a Megalite + from Costco. Can't wait to use it.
Kenyan has been demonstrating Little Giant ladders for over 25 years!! Can't wait to hear how you use your MegaLite+!
Okay so what ladder is that? The link just goes to a plank.
Thanks for the question. Any of our aluminum articulating ladders can be converted into two trestles with the trestle brackets accessory. Alternatively you could use two SureSteps instead.
Can Little Giant make a Professional XT 2.0 version without the Ground Cue and with full sized feet for the ladder extension rather than "C"-shaped feet? Interested, but holding out for these features.
great video its so helful i have here that kind of ladder.thanks
Is the conquest 2.0 available in the UK? If so which supplier please?
The Conquest in the UK is only available in the All-Terrain style, but is available in either fiberglass, aluminum, or aluminum with the Safety Rails accessory. You can look at what is available from TB Davies: www.tbdavies.co.uk/products-category/multi-purpose-ladders/ or from ScrewFix www.screwfix.com/c/storage-ladders/combination-ladders/cat16640002?brand=little_giant
@@LittleGiantLadders unfortunately I am only interested conquest 2.0, when will this be available in the UK?
Following also only interested in 5 tread
It’s weird they don’t sell the conquest 2.0 in the UK
I just talked with our product team and the engineer, and the EN Conquest is a 2.0 version, it's just not called that. These were the differences from the US version: The EN Conquest uses the EN Standard for rung spacing, the EN Conquest comes with a pre-installed "tool tray top cap", and the EN Conquest comes in two aluminum versions besides the Fiberglass version.
Do they make this in a fiberglass option?
While the Paint Pro is only available in aluminum, we do make a fiberglass platform stepladder called the "MightyLite". It won't have the paint tray workstation at the top, though.
Give me a honest reply, which is stringer out of two versions fiberglass or aluminum?
The main reason I would go with fiberglass is if you are working around electricity and need a fiberglass ladder. However, Aluminum lasts longer in general. So if you know you won't be doing electrical work, I would go aluminum for sure. Our fiberglass is really awesome though, and the hi-viz green color helps with safety for anyone on a jobsite as well.
@@LittleGiantLadders Thanks for the honesty, however i have noticed the aluminum version ladder is not exactly the same as the fiberglass. Could you let me know if you have the exact same version as the fiberglass in aluminum as i am interested to make purchase. Thanks
Sorry for the late reply. In the UK, there is one called the "Conquest All-Terrain PRO" (aluminum with safety rail accessory) and one called the "Conquest All-Terrain" (aluminum version but the exact same as the fiberglass UK) and one called "Conquest All-Terrain GRP Fiberglass". So there are two aluminum options of the conquest in the UK. I hope that helps - I would search here www.tbdavies.co.uk/products-category/multi-purpose-ladders/ I would suggest checking out what the safety rails can do if you ever need a standoff or plan on getting on a roof as the attachment does help with that - and you can always remove them and store them separately so it doesn't add extra weight to the ladder.
Is it available in the UK?
in the UK, look for the Conquest All-Terrain in aluminum or fiberglass if you need leveling features, or we do also make the Velocity, without the leveling features. You can find us at various locations, like TB Davies or ScrewFix.
Thanks 👍
I just got one, and it is really a quality ladder. Great video...
No locking mechanism on the steps themselves? Big design failure in my book.
Hey @dongillette! Do you have a Jumbostep or tried one?
@@LittleGiantLadders I've got a 11903 that I unboxed yesterday morning., There is no locking mechanism on the steps themselves. Regardless of whether the railing is engaged or not, the steps simply fold up with no locking at all.
Appreciate the honest feedback. I own a the 11904 at my house and I like the simplicity of the design - I usually always fold the handrail down and fold the stepstool up every time I move it and haven't had it unfold on me. When I have the handrail up, I have occasionally moved it by holding the sides of the handrail and it doesn't cause it to fold up. Is your feedback regarding it not locking while it's open or not locking while it's closed (storage position)?
@@LittleGiantLadders Not locking while it's open. This ladder seems to rely solely on it being "V" shaped to keep it in place vs. a "normal" Little Giant like a 15413-001 (which I also have) that has those interlocking orange knobs on top that hold the legs in position when the ladder is open and closed. For example, on THIS ladder, you can grab the rail while it's extended (and locked) and pull it forward and the steps will collapse.
Can you add the ground cue to the pro king kombo ladder separately?
Unfortunately you cannot. Only the Industrial, Technical, and XT variants have the ground cue. But the quad-pod can be added to the professional so when it's in extension/straight you can lean on flat walls, inside and on outside corners, and 2x4 studs.
Great video. Very helpful.
Nice ladder but these things can crush fingers when collapsing.
Always keep your hands and fingers out from pinch zones - and ensure the locks are engaged! We hope nobody ever has to experience that! If I could tell people three things about articulating ladders, is to always make sure locks are engaged, to never overreach, and don't skip the last rung.
Xtra-Lite Plus with no accessories?!
The "plus" in this xtra-lite is the handle that rotates up or down, otherwise it is the same as the old xtra-lite. Our engineers are always innovating, however, and being able to incorporate accessories into the top cap is something we're definitely looking into!
How high can we go with these ladder
the shortest one, the Model 13, ends up being about 11 feet end to end in the extension position, giving about 14 foot reach. In the tallest A-frame position you're only able to go 3 feet up, giving about a 9.5 foot max reach. The model 17 Velocity gives you 18 foot max reach in extension and 11 feet max reach in the tallest a-frame. Model 22 give you 22 feet max reach in extension and 13 feet max reach in tallest a-frame. Model 26 gives you about 26 feet max reach in extension, and 15 foot max reach in the tallest a-frame.
Mine weighs like 300 lbs. it’s so dam heavy
which ladder do you have?
I got the same ladder I’m a handyman. Guys thanks for such a great build
I'm so glad you're enjoying it!! Do you have a favorite project that you've done?
Thank you for awesome customer service and the info provided was a great help. Thank you again!
Please call the customer service department at 800-453-1192, sorry to hear about that!!
Even the little one is stupidly heavy, having to lug this ladder around into every freaking store I had to work at was a pain. Ill admit it is convenient. Its just stupidly heavy.
The little one, called the the Multi (size 13) weighs 25 pounds. The Leveler 17 (the newest version at Lowe's) weighs 36 pounds which is a lot in a small package, and includes features like the ratchet leveling legs built in, and the improved hinge and a built-in tool tray. We are always looking for ways to make ladders more convenient, without compromising safety.
I want two step ladder folding
Please visit our website to find which stepstool you'd prefer! www.littlegiantladders.com/collections/step-stools
Sir please address
I just bought this ladder to use for home inspecting! I can’t wait to use it
What's the standard Little Giant model?
Are you looking for a multi-purpose ladder (one that goes from a-frame, to extension, staircase position, etc.) or are you looking for more of a fixed-height, platform style? We have definitely expanded our offerings to support the work anyone needs to get done!
@LittleGiantLadders Multi-position. I noticed that the models on your website aren't available at Lowe's, and the models for sale at Lowe's aren't on your website.
That is correct, there are some ladders that are exclusive to places like Lowe's. (The Leveler and the Multi are only available there). On our website, the Velocity with ratchet levelers (and uses rock-locks to adjust the length of the ladder) or the Epic (which uses rapid locks, like the leveler and the multi) are probably your best bet. Right now especially, with them both on sale.
This is a good ladder and it is lite, but a bit deceiving on height. The 5' version has a top step less than 3'. Really? I'm sure this is some industry standard why to measure but BE SURE you get the right height.
Yes, this uses typical A-frame ladder sizing (a 5 foot tall a-frame ladder would have 4 rungs and a top cap, and is 5 feet when standing vertically, but you would only be safe to stand on the third rung, leaving a top rung and the top cap as areas not to stand on). A platform stepladder, like the XtraLite+, uses the same sizing, but removes the typical top rung and instead makes the appropriate standing surface larger and more comfortable. So, when deciding what size you need, just keep that in mind. the 5 foot model gets you up almost 3 feet, and then add about 6 feet to know about how high an average person can reach. In this example, you'd be able to reach 9 foot ceilings comfortably. If you need to reach 10 foot ceilings, you'd get the 6 foot model (letting you stand at almost 4 feet)
Can you pleass go slower?? I cant understand when you go so fast..
This classic is an older video and demo, which was definitely not as easy to follow! Our newer videos like the Leveler are much easier to follow. Check it out here: ruclips.net/video/LzEXyGlqtoQ/видео.html
This safety stuff is getting out of hand.
In many construction environments, they run a "ladders last" program. Fortunately, enclosed elevated platforms like the Fortress exist! These are much more convenient, especially when there are often tie-off rules or other regulations that this satisfies requirements for.
What is the justification to charge nearly half the value of the entire ladder for one single part? I’d feel more confident replacing both outriggers but it’s over $400 for the kit, insane!
One of my sumostance outriggers developed a crack in just 2 months. It’s just dead weight now. A replacement is $200 for just one side, outrageous!!
I am not sure. Was that what our customer experience team told you? And were they able to determine how the outrigger was cracked? I do know that our fiberglass products have a one year limited warranty.
Will the rung locks connect to the sure step ladders?
This is compatible with the SureStep. You can use it in the middle at the top of the Surestep, or on the top but across the whole thing.
Wow don't have one yet but sure sold me I love it never saw till now.Amazin
Can I use your plank system with the Sure Step?
Absolutely!!
it's good to see rapid lock on little giant. love leveler by the way gorilla hinge is the best hinge hands down. adopt it. make hinge disk as big as possible and place two hinge pins as far as possible. my werner hinge pin jammed and broke after ten years. biggest weakness of little giant is center hinge.
Is the Extreme discontinued and why? I can't find it in 2024.
it is discontinued. However, the EPIC that replaced it is over 50% off on our website right now which is like the Xtreme, but with a rapid lock instead of rock-locks, and an adjustable airdeck port to change the angle of the airdeck up top: www.littlegiantladders.com/products/epic This includes the bundle with it, of trestle brackets, a ladder rack, an airdeck, and an epic step (a work platform)
Is the Extreme discontinued and why? I can't find it in 2024.
I hope you saw my other comment, but here is what I said: it is discontinued. However, the EPIC that replaced it is over 50% off on our website right now which is like the Xtreme, but with a rapid lock instead of rock-locks, and an adjustable airdeck port to change the angle of the airdeck up top: www.littlegiantladders.com/products/epic This includes the bundle with it, of trestle brackets, a ladder rack, an airdeck, and an epic step (a work platform). I hope that helps!
Great, I will look into that. Thank you
Sounds good! The Epic model 22 is what looks like currently in stock.
I am considering buying a 26 reach one but when used in full extension is extremelly scary because bounces and shakes a lot where the 4 pieces connect. Is little giant fixing that dangerous problem anytime soon?
Are you referring to the hinge in the middle? Some bouncing and flexing is normal - we recommend ensuring the hinge is locked, and then pulled out to the correct 75º angle before you climb. If it was absolutely rigid, it would be a very tight tolerance and people would have a hard time locking and unlocking the hinge easily, and have difficulty adjusting the ladder into all the other positions.
Your person demonstrating must be Superwoman. That ladder is too heavy for someone of her stature to manipulate it as she does.
You might be thinking of the older Classic ladder that was indeed quite heavy. As time went on and technology has improved, our multi-purpose ladders, even with extra features, are similar or lighter than many competitor products.
I appreciate the sales pitch but I need to understand how to use it. Slowly demonstrating would be nice.
Please check out some of our more current demos, like this one: ruclips.net/video/LzEXyGlqtoQ/видео.html which do things at a much slower pace! Appreciate the comment.
I appreciate the sales pitch but I need to understand how to use it. Slowly demonstrating would be appreciated.
Made by Suzhou Zhongchuang Aluminium Products Co. Ltd. and Suzhou PICA Aluminum Industry Ltd., in China
"The most important asset you have is your employees" Thank you Hal. As soon as you were gone, your American employees in Utah got the boot and now Little Giant is made by Suzhou Zhongchuang Aluminium Products Co. Ltd. and Suzhou PICA Aluminum Industry Ltd., in China. That's the memorial you got, Hal. They made a cute video.
Useless as far as scaffolding goes...very little difference than a ladder as far as area you can reach, without getting down and moving it. Probably costs an arm and a leg too.
Universities and places with stadium seating, find a cage more beneficial than shutting down an entire stairwell to build scaffolding. Loading docks, parking garages, oil rigs... there are a lot of places that you may not want to build scaffolding and would not be able to use a lift where the cage comes in handy. The cost of renting scaffolding plus the time to set it up and take it down, instead goes right into your Cage, which you own. It's got a great return on your investment by perhaps even your first or second use.
